Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)

On June 1, 2026, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the FY 2026 Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Through this funding opportunity, providers can apply for renewal project funding, as well as bonus funding for new or expansion projects. Please review the NOFO carefully to evaluate your organization’s opportunity to apply for funding.

Letters of Intent

If your organization is interested in applying for renewal, new or expansion funding, you must complete and submit the appropriate letter of intent no later than 5 PM on Friday, July 10, 2026. Expansion projects must submit a letter of intent for both the renewal and new project funding. Transition grants must submit a letter of intent for new project funding. Please note that the links cannot be saved as you go.

Continuum of Care Builds – Notice of Funding Opportunity (CoC Builds NOFO)

On June 23, 2026, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for new permanent supporting housing projects under the CoC Builds initiative (Federal Funding Opportunity: CPD-2600-DC-025A). CoC Builds provides funding for construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation of new units of PSH for individuals and families experiencing homelessness where one member of the household has a disability. Most of the requested funding must be for new construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation to create new units of permanent supportive housing.

The maximum project amount for Home for All is $9,000,000. Only one project from our Continuum can be submitted to HUD for consideration. If your organization is interested in applying, please contact Nicole Wilson, Heart of Illinois United Way, at nicole.wilson@local.unitedway.org and Leslie McKnight, Peoria City County Health Department, at lmcknight@peoriacounty.org, by Noon on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Final application narrative and support documents must be submitted to HUD by Thursday, July 23, 2026.
